Dear Sir Hope you are fine. Let me introduce first with you. I am Md.Harun-Ur-Rashid from Bangladesh. I have obtained B.Sc (Honors) with First class and M.Sc degree with GPA 4.0 (out of 4) in Genetics and Plant Breeding from the department of Genetics and Plant Breeding, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka-1207, Bangladesh. Unfortunately research scope at post graduation level is very limited in our country due to lack of funds, sophisticated equipments and even guide professor. Here I send my CV for your kind consideration.
If you kindly agree, I would like to complete my Ph.D degree under your supervision. I will be happy and remain ever grateful to you if you take me in your laboratory. Please help me in this event and give me chance to work in your program.
I am looking forward to hear with a very positive response.
Sincerely yours
Md.Harun-Ur-Rashid

Title of MS Thesis
Characterization and Diversity analysis of the germplasm of oleiferous Brassica species.
Summary of MS Research
An experiment was carried out with 40 mustard germplasms in the experimental farm of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka during November 2005-March 2006 with a view to study the performance of these genotypes for seed yield and yield components, genetic variability, correlation, path co-efficient analysis, genetic divergence and characterization. Significant variation was observed among the genotypes tested. Considering genetic parameters, high GCV value was observed for plant height, siliquae/plant, days to 50% flowering and days to maturity. High heritability values along with high genetic advance in percentage of mean were obtained from, length of siliqua, seeds/siliqua number of primary and secondary branches/plant. Correlation studies revealed highly significant positive association of yield/plant with number of primary branches/plant, number of secondary branches/plant, seeds/siliqua and siliquae/plant. Path analysis showed that yield/plant had the highest direct effect on days to maturity, seeds/siliqua, siliquae/plant and number of primary and secondary branches/plant. The genotypes showed wide variation for morphological characteristics and thus were categorized under three cultivated species- B. rapa, B. napus and B. juncea. Diversity was estimated by cluster distance. All the genotypes were grouped into six clusters. Principal component analysis, Cluster analysis and Canonical Variate Analysis exhibited similar results. Significant variations were observed among the mustard genotypes for all the parameters under study. Cluster II had the maximum 10 and cluster I and III had the minimum 5 number of genotypes. The highest intra-cluster distance was observed in cluster V. The highest inter-cluster distance was observed between cluster I and VI and the lowest inter-cluster distance was found between the cluster III and V. The characters secondary branches/plant, siliquae/plant and yield/plant contributed maximum towards divergence among the mustard genotypes.
Genetic divergence related to geographical diversity was not observed. The genotypes which had moderate inter-cluster distance coupled with medium to high yield could be utilized for screening suitable materials from large population. Considering diversity pattern, genetic status and other agronomic performances some of the materials viz. BD-6948 and SAUYC, from cluster I; BD-9063, BD-9064 and BD-9071, from cluster II; BD-9068 and BD-9077 from cluster III; BD-9078, BD-9106 and BD-6949 from cluster IV; BD-9079 and BD-9081 from cluster V and BD-9100 and BD-7812 from cluster VI, could be used as superior parents for mustard improvement programme.

Dear Sir Sub: Application for the Post of Scientist in Plant hygiene and human hygiene
Dear Sir,
It is my great pleasure to introduce myself as Md. Mamunur Rashid, is already being selected as Professor from Bangladesh. I have submitted my Ph.D dissertation (May, 2008) in the same University of my working place entitled ' DEVELOPMENT OF HEALTHY SEED PRODUCTION TECHNOLOGY OF RADISH (Raphanus sativus L.). I have completed my Ph.D. work under the supervision of Professor Dr. Ismail Hossain, Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh. I am working in the Department of Plant Pathology, Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University, Dinajpur, Bangladesh since 1990. I have more than 16 research publications in national and International journal on different aspect of plant pathology and seed science and having experience in relation to identification plant pathogens and control by chemicals, changing date of sowing and biological means. Moreover I have one year experience in identification of seed-borne pathogens under DGISP, Copenhagen, Denmark. As it relates to my Ph.D work, I am enthusiastically attracted to work in hygienic area of plant as well as human. With this motive I am awaiting in favour of your kind perusal and consideration for the same. I am looking forward to hear from you soon on the matter at the earliest. Please let me know the present situation.
Thanking you in anticipation
Yours sincerely
Md. Mamunur Rashid
