JOB APPLICATION AS AN ART TEACHER.

I would like to apply for a job as an Art & Design teacher.

I took my Bachelors Degree in Eductaion (Fine Art) at Kenyatta University (Kenya)where I covered diverse areas of fine art. These were Print Making, Sculpture, Drawing, Graphic Design, Weaving, Ceramics, Multimedia Crafts, Fabric Design and Art Theory during my first and second year. During my third and fourth, I majored in Ceramics, Painting, Graphic Design, Life Drawing and Art Theory.

My experience in Graphic Design took me to such heights as designing the office stationerty range, books, magazines, calenders, Logos and brochures, advertising, branding and product design.

In ceramics I covered equally much. My project work included creating kitchen/toilet/bathroom tiles, contemporary flower vases, creative pieces, dinner sets, ceramic sculptures, toilet sinks etc. My work as a ceramicist has been recognized by Media Development in Africa (MEDEVA). Consequently I was featured on TAZAMA! (a program run on KBC). A longside this application is pictures of my work both in JPEG and PDF format.

I also have a passion for journalism that propelled me to found a young female e-zine Simply Blak as I have a keen ear for female issues. Currently I am understaking internship in Radio Production at ITEL kenya.

To sum it up I am a very self motivated, disciplined, passionate and responsible individual with very high standards that render me no choice but to deliver my A+.
