Where to get bamboo?

hi all, any idea where to get strips of bamboo for making large kites? they should be long, almost 2m each, thick, 1cm, and not too stiff. thanks for any help!

why dun u get balsa wood from the art shop? art friend in bras basah complex has it. very light. all sizes.
