I lived in ljubljana 1973-1975 and 1980-1982.With the exception of a very small number of people I met there were almost zero expats. How many people reside there now? What kind of jobs do they have? I worked at the Josef Stefan insitute. After five years I did not master the language. Everyone I worked with wanted to communicate in English.

My partner and i are thinking about buting a property in Slovenia with a view to setting up a business in holiday homes. We are therefore looking for a property to live in that has land with it to build on. We are visiting next month and staying in the julian alps area which is where we are hoping to buy. We would welcome any information from people who have done a similar thing and could offer us advice.

Buying property in slovenia is extremely dangeriousProperty worth 40, 000 they will expect you to pay 120, 000 Bearing in mind even at 40, 000 local people will not buy They do not want these properties These properties I am talking about are out of the Towns It is safer to buy in Town but they still expect more money from you So what is it worth An investment is not woth much if you pay too much for it plus you may never be able to sell it
