My wife and I were married in Bloemfontein in 1986. Our son was born in the USA in 1987. He has become a tremendous athlete, currently playing american football for UCLA. He is also a 3 time all-american wrestler and was named national high school athlete of the year in 2005. He is also all-american in judo. He is working very hard in martial arts in addition to playing football . He will be turning pro eventually in mixed martial arts. He also coaches wrestling for a high school in L.A. The question we have is this -as he will be attempting to qualify for the olympics in 2012 he would like to do it as a South African. He's been twice and intends to visit again soon. What is the requirement for him to secure eligibilty as a South African? When will the teams be assembled? What is the process for determing who represents S.A. in African and Olympic Games?
