My family - husband and two children - are planning to relocate to Lausanne within the next year, and I would like to get your perspective thus far on the area.
How long have you lived in Switzerland? How is your family adjusting? Biggest challenges? etc.

Hi,
Yes, how is life for African Americans in the Lausanne area? Also, do you have any insight on the schools in the area (primary)? We are preparing to move to the area from Germany and would like our child to continue in a German speaking school. We can't find a German school in Lausanne and there seems to be several in Fribourg and one in Geneva. Also, is there a part of Lausanne that we should avoid looking for a place to live. Thank you.

I am African-American teacher in the Atlanta, Georgia area. I am seriously considering retiring in the Geneva, Switzerland area about two years from now.I lived for three years in Frankfurt, Germany in the early 1990s. I will be interested in finding employment with the United Nations. Any guidance and advice would be appreciated.
