Hello. I am looking for an old recipe for a dish my father remembers from his childhhod. His parent both emigrated from Swizterland through Ellis Island and settled in Wisconsin in the early 1900's.He remembers a dish his mother made as a treat for them. She took mashed potatoes and flour to make some sort of dough she put in a pie tin. He thinks it had butter, sugar and cream on it and then she baked it. He spke the name in German which is what they spoke when he was a child. It sounded like, 'hadee fo fo la.' Does that ring a bell with anyone? I would like to find this and make it for my family and give the recipe to the family members at the next reunion. My grandmother was a Rufenacht and my grandfather was named Fiechter.
