i would lkie to get the receipe for black cake and sweetbread

My father was from Trinidad, and I grew up eating that food, but unfortunely i am not good at making it. Would love some authentic Trinidalian recipes such as souce and conk stew.

2 cups evap milk

2 eggs

1 dry coconut

2 cups raisins

2 cups mixes fruits/cherries

2 tbsp bakin powder

3 cups flour

3/4 grated nutmeg

1 tsp grind cinamon/spice

1 1/2 cups brown sugar

1 cup condensed milk

1/2 tsp salt

piece of ginger

3/4 cup of butter (blue band)

1 tbsp vanilla essence

1 tbsp almond essence

blend the coconut with the evap milk and place in basin, add all ingredients above to the mixture of blended coconut and milk except flour. Add the first cup of flour and stir/beat, then add the toher 2 cups at a rate of half cup at a time, continuously stiring until metled.

Grease baking pan and half each pan. Sprinkle some mixed fruits on top to decorate. place in oven. test to make sure it is cooked and golden brown..

ENJOY!!!
