I have been living in Sahloul, near Sousse, for 4 months now. I would love to make contact with any English-speaking ex-pats already out here.

Hello to all!I have spent a great deal of time in Tunisia and have recently spent 3 months there. I am due to go back in June for another 3 months. I was married to a Tunisian for 3 years and have gone through the marriage ceremony n Tunisia to the divorce courts in Tunisia! I have travelled all over Tunisia and have made some good friends and useful contacts. If I can offer any help or advice to anyone on any subject - please feel free to contact me and I will do my best to reply as quickly as possible to any questions or enquiries. Good luck to all.

Rachel:Thanks for the offer of advice. My husband and I are thinking of relocating from Spain to Tunisia. We are American. If we go on a tourist entry for 4 months, we understand we can then apply for residency while there. If the process takes more than 4 months, can we leave and return for another 4 months? How long would we have to be gone? I hope you can help. Thanks! Cynthia

I am an American woman and interested in knowing about Tunisia. I would live part-time in Tunisia and part-time in the United States. I would not need to work but would like to start a small business specializing in tourism. Is it safe for Americans? I'm relatively ignorant of the social and political situation there but I have met alot of Tunisian people and have found them to be very warm and generous. Also, what is the medical environment like there? I will be happy to hear from anyone who can educate me. Thank you.Jesslyn James

S. DAVIESwhen a guy says he divorce you. he should mention the word dalak evan tho so ulamaa-schollars say if it comes from your heart its almost like you said it. however you need to contact one of the mosque in UK but u need to consider these questions first. did he give you any mony to live on the 7 years you were apart from each other? if yes which is unlikely lol, i think its different case but if he was never around and you havent had any of his money over 6months+, they be able to DIVORCE you from him, since you lived 7 years apart.
