Hi I am both Tunisian and British and have lived and worked in both countries. The best thing to look for in Tunisia is a teaching position. Your native language skills as an english speaker will be very useful. Try approaching some universities and NGO's in tunis . You are expected to have some university-college degree of some sort, although private universities might not be too picky. I have known some friends who came for family reason to live in tunisia and didnt speak any other language but english. That can be taxing and tough on most people. you should also bear in mind that tunisia is far from being an afluent country and that unemployment of skilled labours is very high. having a specific skills that few can compete against like a native language is ideal, it works better if you have a teaching degree or even a TEFL (teaching english as a Foreign language ' certificate. good luck to all of you. wliidha

Could you get a job knowing English and French but not Arabic, or is Arabic pretty much the only way to get a job? I am American and know English and am currently learning French, but is it necessary that I study Arabic also?

I recently met two Tunisian lads on holiday who would like to come to Britain to work. They dont have ant specialist skills but speak and write Arabic, and some french and english. How hard would it be for them to relocate as they are keen to try a life in Britain?
