Hello,

My name is Richard and I live in the United Kingdom, I recently married my Turkish wife Nesrin and I am now apart from her for a small time period of two months. I am looking to move to Turkey in the next two months and wanted to find a job in Istanbul. I do not have a TEFL certificate but my English is very good and I can speak a little Turkish for which I am still learning the language.

I am going to be in Turkey for at least two years and during this time myself and my wife will be looking to come back to the United Kingdom in 2010. I am interested in any type of work available including call centre work, English speaking required work.

Hi Richard I wish you luck in trying to find work without a TEFL but you might manage to do it. Most schools will not take you without a TEFL and or a degree but some will take you without a degree. The problem with having no TEFL is you may be treated poorly and be poorly paid. Its bad enough without a degree.

I have just come back from Istanbul after two unsuccessful tries at obtaining a job there which was a waste of time and money for me. I have a TEFL and my english is good but its hard work.
