I live in new york city and want to learn how to make some traditional Uganda foods. Where can I find some simple recipes?

Instructions Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

Onions

Step1 Buy cassava, beans and its ingredients from your nearest market or seller

Step2 Get a clean basket, put your beans into it and pick the rocky/solid materials from them

Step3 Get a clean saucepan, put some water into it and then add your beans to wash.

Step4 After washing, put them into another clean saucepan containing water and put a cover at the top of your saucepan

Step5 Prepare your fire woods or charcoal to make fire. However make sure that your fire is enough according to the quantity of your beans.

Step6 After making fire, pour water into another clean saucepan, add your beans into it, put it on the fire place and begin to cook.

Step7 Prepare a clean saucepan containing water to put the pieces of cassava after peeling

Step8 Remove the outer coat and the inner skin of your cassava using your knife.

Step9 Cut your cassava into small pieces, put them into your saucepan containing water and wash

Step10 After washing, put the pieces of cassava into another clean saucepan and keep it in the safe place

Step11 After your beans gets ready, remove them from the fire place to add cassava

Step12 Get a big or medium size saucepan containing water, add the pieces of cassava and beans into it

Step13 Add water and cover it properly using atleast two to four pieces of banana leaves

Step22 After the above stated time, remove from the fire place and add it to your food

Step24 When gets ready, remove it from the fire place and prepare to serve
