Q: Tell us about the business behind the website

A: Wonderland Label is a one year old start up business founded by myself, Natalie Hind. I trained in textiles and upholstery as I wanted to create statement furniture that people can afford. There is a lot of beautiful furniture around but it often comes with a four figure price tag. Wonderland Label wants to create furniture chosen and directed by our clients so that they have a unique piece of furniture in their home.

Q: What is your eventual goal?

A: Wonderland would like to be a global business designing its own unique fabrics and offering quality, affordable, handmade furniture to all. We want everyone to have the "Wonderland Label" in their home and for this to mean a unique, statement piece of furniture for life.

Q: How did you decide on a name for your website?

A: I love the weird, wacky and wonderful and there are designs and patterns out there that appeal to me and are my "Wonderland". This is something that is different for everyone though so as I am offering my clients something custom made for them I am tailoring to their "Wonderland"

Q: What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

A: As someone who is creative and new to business it is hard to get your head around so many different aspects such as packaging, advertising and online profiling that I have never had to contend with before. But by going to seminars, having discussions with as many people as possible and researching on the web I am starting to overcome these problems.
