Q: How did you decide on a name for your website?

A: The name was chosen to be short, direct, and all inclusive. Easy to remember and including the most important keyword: Uruguay

Q: Do you prefer Flash, Ajax, simple HTML or other base for your site?

A: Simple HTML is best. Pages that are plain, convey information with distractions.

Some of the javascript library are longer than the text on many pages. What is the sense of that?

Also using complicated Javascript, or widgets often causes a page to load slowly or cause trouble without adding any real benefit for the user.

Q: What has been your most successful way of increasing website traffic?

A: Letting things flow naturally. One of the biggest challenges is that in a social network there are more people who participate by reading than by writing.

That often leaves the impression that there are few active users.

The best way to increase traffic is to focus on the regular addition, of interesting, relevant, useful content. Especially stories of personal experiences.

Someone who has done something and writes about it will be much more interesting and useful than someone who tries to write about something they've never done (unless of course, it is about their dreams of doing something).

Q: What is your advice for someone looking to move to Uruguay.

A: First become an active participate on Total Uruguay.

Second, visit Uruguay for an extended amount of time as soon as possible so you can decide how you like it first hand.

Try to come with a sense of adventure and leave your preconceived notions and comparisons at home.
