Buffet 21, located at 21 de Setiembre 2745 in Pocitos, tel: 710-38-25 is one our favorite places to eat out.You shouldn't be surprised to learn its a buffet. All you can get. There is plenty of salad, cold veggies, hot (deep fried) veggies, chinese food, pasta and all you can eat meat cooked over a wood fire. Weekday lunch time it's 130 pesos ($5.50) per person plus drink (water is 35 pesos). On saturday it increases to 170 person. Not sure about nights. Whether you want a small lunch or a huge dinner the price is right.

I am sorry to report that Bufet 21 doesn't seem to be open for lunch on weekdays any more.

Thanks, for the recommendation. I love buffet restaurants because you have so many choices for everyone. I guess a lot of people will be unhappy that Buffet 21 is no longer serving lunch. It's hard to find a reasonable place to buy lunch.

One of the problems of being an American in Uruguay is getting used to the proper time to eat Dinner. We were invited to dinner at a friends house. At 10PM we went to the grocery store to buy stuff to make dinner!! Since 10PM seems to be able the start of dinner time, many restaurants don't open until 8 or 9PM.

What time do you typically go to bed if you're eating dinner at 10 or 11 PM? My husband and I don't eat dinner some nights until 9PM just because of our schedules. It struck me as funny that you listed Chinese food on the buffet items for a Uruguayan restaurant. Is the rest of the food Uruguayan?

I don't usually stay up late enough to have an answer for that and am used to dining in empty restaurants! They have a wood fired grill so you can get all the Uruguayan meat you can eat! • Page 1 (Original Post) •
