if you're looking for, make your money work, live in uruguay, it would be a good option, because the dollar is a stronger currencyanother thing to consider is, what kind of house and area you would like to live.in uruguay, prices vary widely in different areas Be sure to compare price and quality before buying or renting a house A good idea is to contact someone here to take a local guide to help you in all procedures

It would be great if someone from Uraguay (perhaps an expat) would furnish some trusted local contacts re: housing, short term (3-6month) apartment rentals...long enough to get settled, specific info including names, telephone #'s, email addresses. To prepare for a move trusted/local info is imperative. If anyone can furnish such things: Please Respond!!! thanks:gez/new york USA

Read the online guide we've put together about just that... and also stop by our Sunday expat meetings to mingle with other expats, locals and those thinking about moving/retiring in Uruguay. • Page 1 (Original Post) •
