'Work in Uruguay?' Wanted

Work in Uruguay?

Hello. I had lived in Uruguay for 8 months and am married to a wonderful Uruguayan woman. We had planned on living there but my shipment and work tools took forever to arrive and I had to return to the US for work. Now that all of my things are there, including my wife, I wish to return but need employment. My residency there is complete except for the Interpol check which takes forever also. I have worked in the Automotive/Heavy diesel/oceangoing ship repair industry for 26 years but would be interested in any decent employment to support the two of us. I know wages aren't much there but any help would be appreciated. I have sent out some resume's but do any know of a good place to post for work wanted or know of any contacts?

Wish you luck. It will probably be tough to find a job, especially with a wage that makes you feel comfortable.

Since your wife is a local, your best bet is probably to have her start asking/looking for you.

Is there any way to use your experience in those repair industries online to earn a living?

my boyfriend resides in uruguay, we met on his second trip to s.a recently, i miss him terribly and await our reunion.i have a 6 year old of my own and after my first visit to uruguay i would love to return, with him. employment in uruguay would be ideal yet i have no tertiary education only experience, how could i organise employment beforehand to be secure on final arrival?
